Research Interests
Research: Novel Quantum Materials Discovery and their Characterization.
Dr. Karna’s research expertise and interests include the exploration of novel quantum materials and techniques, which significantly impacts the advancement of modern technology. His research activities include investigating strongly correlated quantum materials which exhibit emergent phenomena, e.g. complex magnetism, non-trivial topology, and frustrated spin systems. Dr. Karna has significant experience in operating and maintaining various instruments related to his work, such as the optical floating-zone furnace, the Quantum Design Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS), Magnetic Property Measurement System (MPMS), the X-ray Diffraction instrumentation (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and more.
