Undergraduate Physics Laboratories

Physics II Laboratory

The laboratory is equipped with Dell computers, for use with computerized laboratories in both Physics and general Physical Science courses.

Second semester physics laboratory activities are conducted within this lab, including simple harmonic motion, wave motion, fluid statics, electricity and magnetism, electronics, and optics. PASPORT Data Acquisition Equipment from PASCO enhances the laboratory setting with exercises to stimulate the interest of Physical Science students

The benefits to students include exposure to state-of-the-art equipment and computer programs (comparable to those at major universities across the U.S. ), experience in working in teams, acquisition of critical thinking, and technical report writing and presentation capabilities.

The benefit to the community, the State of Texas and the nation is an enhanced state of preparedness for the workforce.
