Graduate Programs in Business

The Master of Science in Accounting program is designed to provide advanced training in accounting to prepare aspiring accounting professionals for careers in public, private and governmental accounting.  This program assists graduates in meeting the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy prerequisites for the Uniform CPA Examination.

Core classes for the MSA program are offered Saturdays at the Prairie View A&M University Northwest Houston Center located near FM 1960 and Tomball Parkway (SH 249) in Houston, Texas.  Elective courses are offered online and in the evenings.

Students without a background or undergraduate work in accounting may be required to take some additional courses before enrolling in some graduate level accounting courses.  Coursework and equivalences taken at previous institutions is evaluated on a case-by-case basis upon submission of application materials.

PVAMU’s College of Business offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in profit or not-for-profit enterprises.  The program integrates various business disciplines to provide the high-quality educational experience needed to assume a leadership role as a manager or entrepreneur.

  • The MBA (online and evening programs) are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
  • The program is flexible.  Students may chose the evening MBA program with courses offered in Houston at the PVAMU Northwest Houston Center  or take advantage of the online MBA and earn their MBA completely online.
  • With the needs of students in mind, the program is affordable.  The online MBA has been consistently ranked as an affordable option among AACSB accredited programs for more than 5 years.  Review tuition and fees for additional information.
