The Entrepreneurship Minor:
A Discipline Amplifier

The Entrepreneurship Minor at PVAMU is not a detour from a student’s major—it is a discipline amplifier. This minor strengthens and magnifies the value of every primary field of study, giving students the tools they need to apply entrepreneurial thinking for real-world impact.

We are actively diversifying the minor by integrating electives from across all 9 colleges and schools. This ensures that students in every discipline can connect their education to entrepreneurial practice, whether in business, engineering, agriculture, architecture, nursing, liberal arts, education, or the sciences.

With this approach, students learn to identify opportunities, solve problems, and build interdisciplinary teams that embrace diverse skill sets. The minor doesn’t pull students away from their degree, it makes their degree more powerful, preparing them to lead, innovate, and create value in any career path they choose.
