The Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program at Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) is committed to promoting the inclusion of HUB vendors in university procurements while advocating the importance of supplier diversity. PVAMU is making the good faith effort to meet or exceed the HUB goals established in Texas Administrative Code Chapter 20 Subchapter D. Our educational efforts, workshops, and training extend to all PVAMU buying personnel and minority and woman-owned businesses statewide.

PVAMU HUB Office Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and promoting the use of HUBs to meet the procurement needs of PVAMU
  • Hosting and participating in forums, fairs, and other events to recruit HUBs
  • Encouraging the use of the Mentor/Protégé Program
  • Developing and implementing HUB Program initiatives
  • Providing HUB training and assistance to staff
  • Monitoring HUB Compliance
  • Preparing and submitting State and other reports
