Benefits:

  • ETP coursework will be taught in partnership with industry professionals and will cover commodity markets, the latest technology and systems, effective communication, personal branding, and more.
  • Board Member Companies provide two paid internships, allowing ETP students to explore careers that the energy industry has to offer, gain foundational knowledge, and form organic professional relationships.

Students will leave the program with:

  • 6+ months of relevant experience outside of the classroom & training in current technologies
  • Energy Trading Concentration or an Energy Trading Minor (in addition to their undergraduate degree)
  • A professional network & invaluable career skills

Who is eligible to apply?

PVAMU Finance Majors with a concentration in Energy Trading or students with an Energy Trading Minor who have completed at least 30 credit hours (sophomore classification). Minimum 3.2 GPA.

What is the application process?

Students will submit their University transcript, an updated resume, and completed essay questions by the application deadline. Interviews with Board members will follow.

Which companies are participating?

bp America, Shell Energy North America, and Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. are currently on the ETP Board; additional companies are added each year.
