Major:  Teacher Education with a concentration in Early Childhood through Sixth Grade, Undergraduate

Faculty Mentor:  Camille Burnett

Research Topic:  Becoming a STEM Teacher

Post-graduation plans:    After graduation, my aspiration is to work at an elementary school, where I can passionately inspire and educate the young minds who represent the future generation. My aim is to contribute positively to their growth and development, fostering a love for learning and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

The RISE program ranks among the best I’ve ever joined, and I am immensely grateful to my amazing mentor, Camille Burnett, for granting me the opportunity to work alongside her. Researching a topic in a field that deeply interests me made the experience incredibly worthwhile, and I would gladly do it all over again!

The Faculty Research and Innovation Success and Excellence Program (RISE), an initiative created by Prairie View A&M University’s Vice President of Research and Innovation, Magesh Rajan, Ph.D., P.E., invests in critical research and innovation domains. It fosters collaboration across disciplines among PVAMU faculty, students, and University partners.
