Dr. Premkumar Saganti Earns nearly $230K Department of Energy Grant

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (January 19, 2024) –  Dr. Premkumar Saganti, Ph.D. has been awarded nearly $230,000 in grant funding by the Department of Energy.

Saganti is the Director of the Prairie View Solar Observatory and Professor of Physics at Prairie View A&M University.

This is a new collaborative effort by four Texas based universities that propose an undergraduate traineeship project under the guidelines of the TBD-NP (Research Traineeships to Broaden and Diversify the Nuclear Physics community) program. The collaboration consists of the University of Houston (UH), University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), University of Texas – El Paso (UTEP) and Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU).
