• Go to www.applytexas.org to complete the Texas Common Application for admission to the University if you are a first-time student or if you are returning after being out for 1 or more semesters.
  • After applying for admissions to PVAMU, you must pay your application fee of $25.00 Undergraduate or $50.00 Graduate.
  • Submit transcripts from all of your previous colleges, universities and high school (first-time students only).  Delay in submitting your transcripts will delay the processing of your application for admission. After all documents have been submitted to the Office of Admissions, you will receive a response in approximately 2 weeks.
  • Attend an Employee Scholarship/Exemption Program information session.  You are only required to attend one session.  View  dates, times and locations.
  • Submit a “Request for Taking Courses During Normal Work Hours” form if you plan to take courses during your scheduled work hours.
  • Review the suggested curriculum for the various majors offered at PVAMU.  Please visit our website www.pvamu.edu/esep more information.
  • Select an orientation date by visiting www.pvamu.edu/esep. Student orientations are designed to inform you of the services and programs offered by the University.  In addition, you will also receive academic advisement, a semester schedule, your student identification card, and a parking permit.
  • During academic advisement, you will receive your Personal Identification Number (PIN) that you use to register for your courses and/or for program changes throughout the semester (add/drop courses).
  • Submit an online Panther Employee Scholarship/Exemption Program application or Spouse Dependent Application Form for processing.
  • Complete a request for free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)  https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa  if you are in need of additional financial aid.
  • Please remember, you must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 undergraduate or 3.0 graduate (good standing) in order to remain eligible to receive the Panther Employee Scholarship/Waiver.
