Fee Payment Plans
Prairie View A&M University offers the following fee payment plans for the payment of tuition and fees during the Fall and Spring Semesters only:
Full payment of tuition and fees in advance of the beginning of the semester. (Tuition & fees must be paid before the 1st class day of January 13, 2020 to avoid being assessed an installment carrying fee of $50.00 for the use of our installment plan. Tuition & fees are due the same day you select courses if you are registering on or after the 1st class day and wish to utilize this option)
Installment Payment Plan for SPRING 2020:
All student’s tuition & fees are automatically broken down into installments at the time of registration. If full payment of tuition & fees is not made before the 1st class day which is January 13, 2020 for spring 2020, the student is electing to pay in installments and will be assessed a $50.00 installment carrying fee payment. Texas Education Code 54.007 –
Installment due dates and amounts are as follows:
- Installment # 1 – 34% payment of total tuition & fees must be received no later than January 13, 2020. A $50.00 installment late fee will be assessed if not paid on this date. If your account remains unpaid on January 28, your classes will be canceled at 5:00 p.m. on this date. There will be no reinstatement if your classes are canceled.
- Installment # 2 – 33% payment of total tuition & fees must be received on or before March 6, 2020. A $50.00 installment late fee will be assessed if not paid on this date.
- Installment # 3 – 33% payment of total tuition & fees must be received on or before April 3, 2020. A $50.00 installment late fee will be assessed if not paid on this date.
If you elect the installment payment plan option, you must consent to an agreement that states the following (agreement will be available on PantherTracks after you register):
“I agree to pay all tuition, fees, and charges associated with my attendance to Prairie View A&M University. I understand I am responsible for maintaining my correct address and telephone contact information in PantherTracks through PVPlace. I am responsible for reading all email sent to my pvamu.edu address.”
“ I agree that if I have not paid 100% of my current tuition, fees, and charges by the last business day before the first class day, that PVAMU has my permission to automatically enroll me in the installment method for payment of my current tuition, fees and charges for Fall & Spring terms only. I understand there will be a fee assessed for enrolling in the installment method and I agree to the assessment. I understand that if I fail to make the installment payments on the date due, I will be assessed a late charge for each time I fail to meet the due date. I understand the terms for the installment method for payment of my current tuition, fees and charges as listed on the Treasury Services web site Fee Payment Plan. If I should be able to pay all current tuition, fees, and charges in full prior to the first day of class, the installment payment plan fee will be reversed.”……etc
If the above agreement has not been made by the student, full payment of total tuition & fees will be due prior to August 26, 2019. The agreement can be obtained on-line through PantherTracks when you click on add a class for the term you need to accept the agreement in.
NOTE: IF YOU ELECT FEE PAYMENT PLAN 2, YOU WILL BE ASSESSED A $50.00 INSTALLMENT CARRYING FEE. STUDENTS WILL BE DROPPED FROM ENROLLMENT FOR FAILURE TO MEET THE 1ST INSTALLMENT. A LATE FEE OF $50.00 WILL BE ASSESSED TO THE STUDENT’S ACCOUNT IF THE STUDENT IS ALLOWED TO RE-REGISTER AFTER CLASSES ARE DROPPED FOR NON-PAYMENT. STUDENTS WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO RE-REGISTER DURING THE OFFICIAL ADD/DROP PERIOD. FAILURE TO MEET THE 2ND AND 3RD INSTALLMENTS WILL RESULT IN A $50.00 INSTALLMENT LATE FEE PER INSTALLMENT.
