Testing Services allows students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community to take the following exams in our office testing lab:

  1. Distance Education/Correspondence exams from other institutions
  2. Exams for Independent Study courses
  3. Make-up exams
  4. Exams given through departmental agreement

  • Instructors must submit a completed Test Proctoring Form via online to the Office of Testing Services. All student instructions for completing the exam should be included on the test proctoring form. Picking Up Exam Materials: Testing Services will make every effort to notify the instructor when the final student has completed testing. The preferred method of pick-up is in person for all paper-based exams, however paper based exams can be scanned and emailed. If email is your preference, please designate this on the test proctoring form.
  • Instructors will receive an email confirmation from Testing Services that the proctoring form was received. If email confirmation is not received within 48 hours, the instructor should contact the Program Coordinator of Testing Services, Mr. Jeremy Sample at jesample@pvamu.edu to verify that the test proctoring form was received.
  • Instructors should then inform student(s) that their exam has been sent to the Testing Services office and that they will need to make an appointment. This appointment can be made on the proctoring services webpage via the “Make an Appointment” button. All students MUST make an appointment. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • Instructors must inform student(s) that the test proctoring form for the exam has been sent and received by the Office of Testing Services. Students should also verify with their instructor the exam dates and deadlines.
  • Tester must register/pay for their exams prior to arrival. Confirmation of time/date requested will be confirmed within 48 hours. If the time requested is unavailable or closed, tester(s) will have to chose an alternative available date/time that is before their exam deadline.
  • NO WALK-INS ACCEPTED. Students arriving to take an exam without an appointment will not be permitted to take the exam.
  • Due to limited seating, students are ask to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time. If a student does not arrive on time for their scheduled appointment, then they MUST reschedule.
  • Test Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
    • PVAMU Students: All exams for PVAMU students with accommodations are administered by the Office of Disability Services. Please contact them for further assistance at (936) 261-3583/3585 or email at disabilityservices@pvamu.edu.
    • Non-PVAMU students: This information may be sent with the testing instructions for your exam from your institution. If not, please submit a copy of your test accommodation letter from your institution’s Disability Services office to the Office of Testing Services at aetesting@pvamu.edu at least two (2) weeks prior to your desired testing date.
  • Exam Fees – All administration fees MUST be paid prior to your arrival for testing via online through the PV Marketplace or in cash at the cashier’s window in the W.R. Banks building. Students will need to bring a copy of their receipt as proof of payment for all cash payments. All administration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
    • $0 – Administration fee for PVAMU students taking a PVAMU course
    • $25 – Administration fee for PVAMU student taking a Non-PVAMU course
    • $50 – Administration fee for Non-PVAMU students
  •  After The Exam – We will follow all rules listed on the PVAMU Test Proctoring Form provided by your instructor. If nothing is specified, The Testing Center will keep all paper-based exams on file until the end of the semester and then they will be destroyed. If the computer does not show you a score after your exam, you will need to obtain your score from your instructor.

Identification Requirements

You are required to present one form of physical photo identification. This identification must be current and must contain a recent and recognizable photo of you.
