PantherFolio is a faculty activity records management system that provides a single convenient platform for Prairie View A&M University faculty members to archive their professional achievements. This system allows easy curation of faculty professional accomplishments (in teaching, research, service, and other areas) as faculty prepare electronic portfolios for various reviews (e.g. annual review, tenure and promotion review, etc.). With an intuitive interface and integration with other platforms that faculty use, PantherFolio makes it easy for faculty members to input their data. Administrators responsible for faculty reviews can seamlessly access and review these documents online, streamlining the review process. PantherFolio will also allow job seekers to easily apply to open PVAMU faculty positions, and complete and share essential documents online.

PantherFolio is powered by Interfolio, an education technology company based in Washington, DC, that offers a holistic faculty information system to support the full lifecycle of faculty work.

Department heads/chairs, deans, and select administrators have access to view faculty data and to generate reports for their respective units. Faculty members have access to only their own profile and data. The “Find Colleagues” feature allows faculty members to use a keyword search in order to find colleagues with similar interests for collaboration purposes.

Emulation allows department administrators to view a particular faculty member’s data and also enter data on their behalf. To Emulate a faculty member, follow these steps:

  1. On the Administration section of the left navigation menu, click Administration.
  2. In the Tools section, click Emulate User.
  3. In the next screen, locate the user you wish to emulate by using the filters in the Count By Unit section, then selecting your unit. All faculty members in the selected unit will be displayed under Search Names Below.
  4. If a large number of names are displayed, you can use the search field to easily locate the desired user within the search results. Upon locating the desired user, click the user’s name. A confirmation message will be displayed.
  5. Click OK, and you are now emulating the selected user. The name of the user should be displayed at the top of the screen in a red box.
  6. To exit the emulation, click Exit Emulation at the top-right corner of the screen.

You should be able to edit records that you have entered in the Activities section (such as your research publications, conference presentations, grants, committee assignments, etc.). You can also delete any erroneous or unnecessary records, but please note that once a record is deleted, it is removed permanently, and can only be manually re-entered.

Faculty profile information, course data, and student evaluation data are loaded into PantherFolio from WorkDay, Banner, and BLUE, respectively. Since these systems are considered official sources of record, any correction/change must occur at the source. If you notice errors in these sections, please contact us (pantherfolio@pvamu.edu) and we will point you to the right direction.

PantherFolio accepts the most common file types used by scholars and institutions. Click here to view the listing of file types supported by PantherFolio.
