Research Topic: Green Synthesis of Silver and Titanium Nanoparticles Using Erythrina Variegata Root Bark Extract and Evaluation of Their Antioxidant and Cytotoxicity Effectiveness
RISE Program Highlight: The most significant aspect of my time in the RISE Program was acquiring research skills relevant to careers in chemistry. I gained proficiency in designing experiments, developing methods, and analyzing and interpreting data—all crucial skills for a career in chemistry.
Post-graduation plans: After graduating, my intention is to pursue a career as an Environmental Chemist with the City of Houston’s Health Department. In this role, I aim to contribute to safeguarding public health by analyzing and assessing environmental factors that may impact community well-being. This includes examining pollutants, monitoring water and air quality, and implementing measures to mitigate potential health risks. I’m excited about the opportunity to apply my expertise in chemistry to address pressing environmental concerns within the city.
