The challenge was accepted and there was no turning back once we started. Prairie View A&M University Engineering and The Honors Program PVAMU students (Carl, Donald, Kara, Kendall, Trinity, Cecil and Chelsea) on the Fluor Corporation grant where I am the PI formed Team “Guardians of the Gears” and faced 17 other teams from universities in Texas. The team has been working on the project “ TDC-66 Trade Study for Crew Lunar Ascent” for several weeks and over the weekend presented their work at the Texas Space Grant Consortium Design Showcase in League City, TX. The team performed well for their first showcase. Overall we can count it as a success, however next semester we will be back and stronger. We will continue the journey next semester with bigger outcomes and products. See More
