Dr. Sarina R. Willis is Prairie View A&M University’s Vice President
for Enrollment Management and Student Success. The former Vice President for Enrollment Management reports to the provost and senior vice president of Academic Affairs and serves as a member of the president’s Executive Cabinet.

In her role, Willis is the chief enrollment officer and provides strategic leadership to all aspects of enrollment for the university. She leads and manages an integrated enrollment division with responsibilities for Undergraduate Admissions, Outreach and K-12 Partnerships, and Enrollment Services to include Student Recruitment, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and the Registrar’s Office.

Since joining PVAMU in 2014, in addition to serving as an associate provost in Academic Affairs, Willis has served the university’s colleges, facilitating the curriculum and program review processes, solving student academic issues, and serving as a liaison to several external constituencies. She serves as the SACSCOC Institutional Accreditation Liaison, as well as the liaison to several other agencies.

She serves as campus lead for the PVAMU team participating in the National Association of System Heads (NASH) Improvement Community focused on Taking Student Success to Scale – Transfers Through the Equity Lens. She also serves as a member of the leadership team for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ (AASCU) Student Success Equity Intensive. A program focused on creating opportunities for low-income and first-generation students by bridging the student success equity gap.

Willis has worked in the Texas A&M University System for over 29 years serving in various roles such as faculty, dean of Academic and Student Support Services, director of Enrollment Services, coordinator of Academic Advising at her alma mater, Tarleton State University, and assistant to the president for Diversity and External Relations, director of Academic Affairs, acting university registrar, chief enrollment officer, and assistant vice president for Academic Affairs and Undergraduate Studies at Texas A&M University-Central Texas.

Willis earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing and a Master of Business Administration degree in business administration from Tarleton and a doctoral degree in postsecondary and adult education from Capella University.
