PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (October 14, 2022) Adeyemi Taylor, a RISE Graduate Research Scholar pursuing a Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, is working with Dr. Sarhan Musa in the area of renewable energy, particularly solar energy systems.

“With the support of RISE since 2019, I have done research and modeling with a focus on Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)” declares Taylor.  “MPPT is an intelligent module that optimizes the match between solar panel energy output and battery or utility. There is little awareness of the effect MPPT has on the current solar energy market, which can enhance production and profitability for large firms”.

Upon graduation this year, Taylor will be taking up a position as an R&D engineer in the energy sector.  He proudly announces “I will continue to explore new territories and push the frontiers of renewable energy”. “Taylor’s work is crucial for solar energy applications because it can help respond to the variable output of solar panels” says Dr. Sarhan Musa, Taylor’s research advisor. “Artificial Intelligence-based MPPT can be used to optimize energy production by monitoring and taking advantage of solar energy output fluctuations.”
