Prairie View, Texas (March 28, 2024) – The Chief Research Officers Meeting, hosted by Magesh Rajan, Ph.D., Vice President of Research & Innovation at Prairie View A&M University and led by Joe Elabd, Ph.D., Vice Chancellor of Research for the Texas A&M University System, took place on the picturesque campus of PVAMU from March 26 to 28. Dr. Tomikia P. LeGrande, PVAMU’s Ninth President, extended a warm welcome to attendees. The two-day event was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Research, Vice Presidents of Research (VPRs), chief research officers (CROs) of member institutions, state agencies, and the TAMUS Research Leadership Team. It served as a platform to unveil the latest cutting-edge research progresses, strengths, challenges across a multitude of research and research administration aspects across the System.

 

 

Prairie View A&M University’s (PVAMU) Deans shone a spotlight on the achievements of its key researchers and research projects. Their contributions were celebrated for pushing boundaries and shaping the future landscape of innovation at PVAMU and within the Texas A&M System.

From agriculture to technology and beyond, attendees were treated to a glimpse of the transformative developments poised to shape tomorrow’s world. Each presentation underscored the system’s unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and driving progress at the forefront of academic research.

As the summit drew to a close, the resounding message echoed loud and clear: the Texas A&M University System remains at the vanguard of research nationwide, poised to continue leading the charge towards a brighter, more innovative future.
