Welcome to the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships (OSFAS) at Prairie View A&M University. Our mission is to provide access to student aid programs for the campus community to facilitate the student recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts at Prairie View A&M University. We are committed to providing a high level of customer service to support our diverse population of students in achieving their academic goals by helping to remove the financial barriers to college attendance.
During the 2022-2023 academic year, we have assisted over 8,900 PVAMU students with some form of financial aid. We are committed to assisting students with understanding each step of the process. The OSFAS staff is here to provide assistance with:
- Learning how to apply for financial aid and scholarships
- Understanding and guiding you through the verification process
- Maintaining eligibility for the aid received
- Managing debt and understanding student loans
- Assisting with the student employment/work study process
Remember that applying for financial aid is an annual process. The FAFSA application opens on October 1 of every year. Always apply early and follow up with our office. Communication is key!
Also, please take the time to explore our website. If you have questions, please visit us in the Memorial Student Center on the 3rd floor. Our staff is available from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday – Friday. We are also available to meet with you virtually or you can just simply reach out to us by email or phone.
