How to Upload Documents

In an effort to provide better service, the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is proud to introduce Panther Pass. This tool allows you to upload your financial aid documents directly through PV Place.

Step 1: Login to PVPlace

Step 2: Select the “Paying for College” tab

Step 3: Under the “Financial Aid Documents Submission” tab select “Upload Documents to Panther Pass”

Step 4: Select “Panther Pass Document Upload”

Step 5: Type in student email address for email confirmation, select the document that is being submitted, upload document from the computer. If the document you are uploading contains multiple pages, merge all documents into one file before uploading.

-­Ensure all documents that require signatures are signed. Typed signatures will not be accepted
-­Include your name and student ID number on every page
-­Each document type should be scanned and uploaded independently of any other document type
-­Documents that are submitted must be legible  
-The uploaded documents must be in PDF format
-Do not take pictures of documents with a camera

Step 6: Once documents are uploaded select “Submit”

Step 7: If documents are successfully submitted a confirmation screen will appear and a confirmation email will be sent.

 

Tips for Converting Documents to PDFs

For converting .doc file to .pdf:

  1. Open the document in Microsoft Word
  2. Click the File tab
  3. Click Save As
  4. In the File Name box, enter a name for the file (file names should be kept short and cannot include brackets, quotations or any special characters)
  5. In the Save As type list, choose PDF (*.pdf)
  6. Click Save

For saving images to pdf:

  1. Open a new blank document in Microsoft Word
  2. Click the Insert tab
  3. Click Picture
  4. Choose the image file you want to insert, click “Insert”
  5. Adjust the image orientation if required (click on the image, click the Picture Tools tab at the top, choose Rotate and adjust rotation)
  6. Click the File tab
  7. Click Save As
  8. In the File Name box, enter a name for the file (file names should be kept short and cannot include brackets, quotations or any special characters)
  9. In the Save As type list, choose PDF (*.pdf)
  10. Click Save

*Please note that PCs with 2007 Microsoft Office – an Add-in and can be installed to convert the files to PDF

Files must be uploaded in PDF format only. Scanned images such as .jpg, .bmp, .png or .tiff files, must be converted to PDF before uploading. Maximum file size for each document is 25MB. See instructions below for solutions to size file greater than 30MB. (For converting images and .doc files to PDF, follow the instructions below

If your PDF file size is too big – try one of the following solutions:

  1. Scan document at a lower resolution
  2. Scan document in Black & White
  3. Using Adobe Acrobat Pro to reduce PDF files
