The Office for Undergraduate Studies (OUS) is a new component of the Academic Leadership Team at PVAMU. The OUS is committed to working synergistically with the colleges/school of the university to ensure that all undergraduate degree programs are rigorous, relevant, and responsive to our student’s academic and career aspirations.

Additionally, the OUS houses two undergraduate academic degree programs: General Studies (BS/BA) and the newly approved Public Health degree program (BS/BA). The Public Health program at PVAMU is the first bachelor’s degree program in Public Health at an HBCU in Texas.

The OUS has drafted a set of commitments and goals to strengthen and enhance the undergraduate academic experience: academic programs, research, internships, career development, and study-abroad opportunities to provide fertile ground for our young scholars to strive for excellence.

To achieve these goals, the OUS needs the financial support of alums and friends of the university. With your support, the Office for Undergraduate Studies can continue to grow and provide vital support for our PV young scholars to succeed.

With your financial support, you will receive bi-annual updates on how the OUS is fostering success to meet the academic and career goals of the PV undergraduate students, and how your financial gift has positively impacted our undergraduate students

For more information on how your gift will benefit the students and the OUS, please contact us at akkeaton@pvamu.edu or (936) 261-3166
