Prairie View, Texas (March 1, 2024) — As Prairie View A&M University’s Division of Research and Innovation (R&I) prepares for its annual Research & Innovation Week, scheduled from April 1 to 5, 2024, a palpable excitement permeates “The Hill!” This week-long celebration stands as a testament to the university’s dedication to research excellence and innovative initiatives, further solidifying PVAMU’s position as a formidable research institution.

R&I Week 23: Student Research Day

R&I Week kicks off with Research Resource Day on April 1. This day is exclusively dedicated to providing our esteemed faculty researchers and talented student researchers with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the entire research process, from pre- to post-, ensuring a successful journey from research abstracts to step-by-step implementation. As we embark on this exciting learning opportunity, our aim is to empower faculty members and students with essential resources, enabling them to explore new dimensions of inquiry.

On Tuesday, April 2, R&I Week continues with a focus on Student Research Day. Faculty Forum Day, taking place on April 3, is a dynamic event dedicated to fostering open dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among faculty researchers. This engaging platform provides an opportunity for faculty members to come together, share their experiences, and explore innovative ideas in their respective fields.

Innovation and Industry Day on April 4 promises to be a highlight of the week. The day is divided into two parts: Innovation-Commercialization-Entrepreneurship-Economic Development and Industry Day. The former will feature panel discussions and workshops dedicated to supporting the transition of research from the laboratory to the marketplace. Industry Day, on the other hand, will focus on cultivating relationships with industry partners, paving the way for collaborative endeavors that bridge the gap between academia and the business world.
