PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (November 12, 2021) The Texas A&M University Health Science Center awarded Clinical Assistant Professor Antonea’ Jackson, Ph.D., RN, CNE in the College of Nursing,$132,609 to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates.
Jackson will expand community engagement efforts and develop educational resources to educate communities about COVID-19 vaccines
The Texas Department of State Health Services is funding the Texas COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach and Education project.
The project will reach target communities to increase vaccination rates through 1) community-based vaccination events, 2) the development of evidence-based educational resources and virtual events to address vaccine hesitancy and other barriers to vaccination, and 3) collaboration with influential stakeholders and community partners.
