  • Important Information about Testing

    • A test proctoring form for an exam must be submitted at least 72 hours before the first exam is administered.
    • Proctored Testing will be held only on Thursday's and Friday's.
    • Students must make an appointment for testing as seating in the lab is limited and there will possibly be multiple exams occurring on the same day.
    • It is the instructor's responsibility to inform their students on when their test will open and close so that students can make their appointments correctly. Also, instructors should inform their students on what items they are permitted to bring to use on the test (i.e. calculator, formula sheets, etc.)
    • The Northwest Houston Center will provide the following items for student testing: scratch paper, pencils, hand sanitize, and tissue.
    • No student will be able to make an appointment or begin a test before 10:00 am and the testing lab will close at 5:00 pm on all test dates.
    • Students will be able to make an appointment for a test date until the day before the test date. After a test date is closed, students will have to choose a different test date.
    • If a student(s) needs to reschedule their exam, they will reschedule with their instructor and the instructor must submit a new test proctoring form for the exam and student to the Northwest Houston Center within 72 hours before the first exam is administered and the student must make a new appointment.
    • All students that register and take exams in the Northwest Houston Center agree to adhere to all rules and regulations found in the Testing Services - Academic Integrity Policy.
    • If a student is caught cheating on an exam, instructors will be sent a report about the incident and the cheating will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct. The instructor will need to contact and coordinator with Student Conduct about next steps. If the student is ban from utilizing the Northwest Houston Center as a testing site because of cheating, it will be communicated to the instructor and student by the Northwest Houston Center and it will be the instructor's responsibility to assist the student with taking their exams.
    • PVAMU students with disabilities that need to take an exam for a PVAMU course, must take their exams with the Office of Disability Services. PVAMU Faculty will need to contact Disability Services at (936) 261-3583/3585 or email them at disabilityservices@pvamu.edu to set up an appointment for their student. This process is only for PVAMU students taking exams for PVAMU courses.
