Respondus LockDown Browser®
The LockDown Browser (LDB) enables educational institutions to protect the integrity of online assessments. The LDB is a custom browser that locks down a computer during online exams. LDB provides the following features:
- Prevents access to other applications and websites during an exam
- Students cannot copy or print exam content
- Assessments are displayed full-screen and cannot be minimized
- Students are locked into the exam until it is submitted for grading

- Videos with an overview of the LockDown Browser and directions for instructors on how to prepare an exam for the LockDown Browser can be found on the Resources page at the Respondus website.
- After going to the Resources page, click “Select the training video for your Learning System” to expand the list and then click the “Canvas” option.
