Chemical Engineering Teaching Laboratories (ENCARB 223, 225, and 244)

Currently the Department of Chemical Engineering holds it teaching laboratories in ENCARB 223,225,and 244. Chemical Engineering Laboratory I (CHEG 3101) covers Fluid Mechanics, Unit Operations, and Heat Transfer; Chemical Engineering Laboratory II  (CHEG 4101) covers Separations, Fluid Mechanics and Unit Operations; and Chemical Engineering Laboratory III (CHEG 4104) covers Reaction Engineering and Process Controls.

During official laboratory teaching hours,  only students and faculty of the course who have taken the safety training may enter the laboratory. Appropriate PPE gear (safety goggles/glasses, laboratory coats (if needed), closed toed shoes, long pants) must be worn at all times. All safety rules must be followed.

Those who need to access the teaching laboratories outside designated laboratory teaching hours must obtain permission and access from the appropriate laboratory technician. Rules regarding PPE gear and safety must be followed.

Students/faculty must be trained to use the appropriate equipment before usage. Before leaving, all reagents/equipment must be placed in its proper place and the technician must be notified to secure the room.
