Department of Chemical Engineering

Welcome from Department Head

Irvin W. Osborne-Lee, PhDWelcome to the Department of Chemical Engineering (CHEG) at Prairie View A&M University.  We offer two choices of degree programs for undergraduate students: the Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (B.S.Ch.E), and the B.S.Ch.E. with a Concentration in Bioengineering. For graduate students, we offer the Master of Science in Engineering with a Concentration in Chemical Engineering.  The Department of Chemical Engineering has a vibrant faculty, committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Whether transferring from another institution or entering college for the first time, the future chemical engineer will find an excellent opportunity for preparation and training with us.  In addition to the traditional chemical engineering focus, there are also learning and training emphases in the biochemical and nuclear areas of engineering.  Our accessible faculty, low student-to-teacher ratio, and customer focus in serving our students make ours a learning environment that is hard to beat.

I thank you for your interest in the CHEG programs at Prairie View A&M University and extend to you a warm invitation to get to know us better.

Yours in service,

Irvin W. Osborne-Lee, PhD
