The Pollinator Pilot Program is a collaboration between PVAMU Cooperative Extension’s Agriculture and Natural Resources unit and Michigan State University’s National Pesticide Safety Education Center (NPSEC). Together these organizations provide outreach to people, especially millennials and younger people living in urban areas with the goal of spreading knowledge about Pollinators. Agnearme.com is the flagship site for the Pollinator Pilot Program.

Pollinators are vital resources as they provide high quality plant products that humans use as food, clothing, and livestock feed. Pollinators enhance wild ecosystems and gardens in the same way. The goal is to encourage people to create their own pollinator gardens. An abundance of resources including guides, presentations and advice about pollinators and pollinator gardens helps PVAMU and NPSEC to reach farther throughout Texas and the U.S.A. and introduce more people to the world of pollinators. Physical pollinator gardens, videos and question-answer panels contribute to this vision.
