GPA CALCULATIONS FOR UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION DECISION
Did you know that PVAMU recalculates your high school transcript GPA to keep all students on the same GPA–4.0 scale?
When calculating the GPA of a high school transcript, the university uses the following formula:
Example:
A 100-90 (4 points for each grade) 23 A’s x 4 = 92
B 89-80 (3 points for each grade) 20 B’s x 3 = 60
C 79-70 (2 points for each grade) 3 C’s x 2 = 6
D 69-60 (1 point for each grade) 9 D’s x 1 = 9
F 59 – 0 (0 points for each grade) 0 F’s x 0 = 0
