PVAMU’s Office for Strategic Partnerships and K-12 Outreach hosted its 5th-ever Elementary School Day. More than 1,000 students from 12 area schools attended.

“Our theme this time around was “It’s Carnival Time.” We had hotdogs, sack races, fraternities and sororities stepping, music, etc., in addition to the kids learning about our campus, meeting some of our faculty and staff members, and learning about all of the different careers they can pursue,” said Dr. Talitha Lewis, director of Strategic Partnerships and K-12 Outreach. “Schools came from as far away as Hearne and the Dallas area. It was absolutely an enjoyable event that impacted so many lives. Elementary Partnering School Day has truly become a popular event for all.”

The next Elementary School Day will take place in the fall.
