Giving Help and Hope to Victims

The mission of the Relationship and Sexual Violence Program (RSVP) at Prairie View A& M University is to:  educate students, staff and faculty about the dynamics of sexual violence, dating violence and stalking; coordinate an effective campus response to these crimes; promote safety on campus; provide on and off campus resource information for victims; support victims’ emotionally and advocate for victims’ legal rights and medical needs.

RSVP Offers:

  • Crisis Intervention Counseling for victims/survivors of sexual assault, dating violence and/or stalking;
  • Safety Planning;
  • On and Off campus Resource Information and Referrals;
  • Victim’s Rights advocacy;
  • Response and Intervention Training;
  • Emotional Support for Victims;
  • Prevention Education Programs for students, faculty and staff.

*RSVP Services are confidential and open to all currently enrolled students of Prairie View University.

Inclement Weather Alert 9-20-2019

Due to inclement weather, the main campus and the northwest Houston center will delay opening until 10 a.m. The safety of our faculty, staff and students is of the utmost concern, please exercise caution as you make your way to campus. The College of Nursing, Medical center campus will remain closed today.
