A student’s first year in college is about completing their transition from high school. The First Year Experience (FYE) at PVAMU, known as Launch, attempts to ease an often challenging transition by providing formative and often fun opportunities exclusive to freshmen. By participating in the FYE, students will seamlessly integrate into the campus culture, hone skills needed to succeed academically, and build community with peers and faculty.
Program Opportunity for Freshmen – B-GLOBAL Program
The Second Year Experience (SYE), the Exploration year, is designed to engage students returning to campus for their second year of college. Building from previous student experiences, sophomores will continue working through academic and student support resources, as well as moving towards the Discovery of new concepts and growth opportunities.
Sophomore members will live in community with their peers, focus on understanding power, privilege, and service; and learn how to utilize them to create positive change. Each member will have an opportunity to participate in a WOW Experience that will leave lasting memories.
