SERVICES
The Department of Residence Life provides liaison, program guidance and evaluation, and over watch for on campus student housing for enrolled undergraduate student. In addition, the department provides on-campus shuttle service for students, faculty and staff, and coordinates the CHAMPS/Life Skills programs for student-athletes.

PHILOSOPHY
Prairie View A&M University’s residence life and housing services philosophy is grounded in community living and learning, exploration, self-direction, development, and residential life responsibility. It challenge lies in the students’ ability to successfully integrate individual and university community goals through living-learning experiences that are both educational and contributory in nature. The residential life/student housing staff serves as the primary resource for guidance in all areas of residential life and is responsible for supporting the university’s co-curricular life mission.

OUR FOCUS
The Department of Residence Life is organized around four vital university functions: Housing administration, student development, quality residential community services, and student judicial process. The administrative office is located in Anderson Hall, Room 312. The department’s “open door’ policy seeks to encourage daily interaction with students, student-athletes, student housing management, staff, and faculty.
