PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (April 11, 2025) — Anne Lippert, Ph.D., an assistant professor of Psychology in the Samuel Brailsford College of Arts and Sciences at Prairire View A&M University has been awarded more than $90,000 in grant funding from the National Institute of Health.
Dr. Lippert’s research focuses on understanding how people perceive and utilize knowledge, especially in areas shaped by stereotypes and biases that can cause psychological harm, such as victim shaming in sexual assault cases. Her work centers on developing and testing interventions that use cutting-edge technologies—like intelligent tutoring systems, pedagogical agents, and virtual reality—to improve learning and mental health outcomes across a wide range of learners and communities. By applying a combination of qualitative techniques, including machine learning and text analysis, alongside quantitative methods such as advanced regression models, Dr. Lippert generates insights that contribute to academic knowledge and help shape policies that address persistent gaps in education and mental well-being.
