About PVSO data

The Prairie View Solar Observatory operates up to five days per week, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. The observations were carried out only on listed dates.

Unless otherwise indicated in a caption, images were obtained by the Gregorian Vacuum Telescope equipped with the SBIG ST-7 CCD camera, a Daystar 0.43 Å (from 2008) or 0.5 Å (before 2008) Hydrogen alpha filter and a neutral density filter (10% transmission). The exposure time of disk images and prominence images before 2008 is 0.12s. Starting from 2008, the exposure times of prominence images are 2-3 s.
