Major Outcome Objectives

  • Orientate new and, if necessary, continuing personnel to the purposes and performances of institutional accreditation and the role of individual employees in the fulfillment of the institution’s agreement to comply with core requirements, comprehensive standards, and federal requirements.
  • Organize, in collaboration with other offices, methods of collecting, organizing, disseminating, and ensuring use of institutional data impacting core requirements, comprehensive standards, and federal requirements.
  • Communicate to University officials results of findings from internal and external assessment efforts that may be a risk to compliance if not addressed or corrected within a specified period of time and, at minimum, prior to the submission of decennial, fifth-year or follow -up report.
  • Recommend internal and external training designed to strengthen planning and assessment capability of faculty and staff tasked with leading accreditation related functions in their respective units.
  • Identify electronic and print resources for use by general University personnel in planning and assessment.
  • Plan and implement campus-wide conferences or committees focused on strengthening and enhancement of the University.
  • Serve as an accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation resource to organizations as well as to other institutions of higher education.
  • Perform duties associated with responsibilities by SACSCOC for the Liaison Officer (See:www.sacscoc.org) including filing of SACSCOC Profile Reports, submission of special data requests, completion of surveys, monitoring substantive change process, among others.
