W. R. Banks Library – 1945-1988

The beginning of the W.R. Banks Library
Principal W.R. Banks and others moving books. More than 20,000 volumes were moved in this manner. Summer school students, house wives, children, faculty members, 4-H boys and girls, regular session students, young, middle age and old help with this tremendous job. Principal Banks’ faith in people was justified.
Mr. G. L. Smith and Mr. O. Thomas are carrying books with a specially constructed
(lazy man’s) contraption.
