Department Head
Welcome to the Computer Science Department. The Department offers three programs: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS, ABET Accredited Program), Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS), and Master of Science in Computer Information System (MSCIS). Computer Science Department is one of the six departments in the Roy G. Perry Roy G. Perry College of Engineering.
The Department provides the highest level of quality education to our students. The Department mission consists of three interrelated components: (1) providing the highest quality instruction to the students, (2) conducting leading-edge research in computer science and engineering, and (3) providing leadership and service to our professional communities. Computer Science faculty and staff are committed to excellence and update the program to meet the present and future needs of industry and the society.
The Department faculty members are knowledgeable in their fields of study, and are conducting very active research activities in the six research laboratories maintained by the Department: (1) Virtual Reality and Scientific Visualization Research Laboratory, (2) Radio Frequency Identification research laboratory, (3) Database and Data Mining research laboratory, (4) Network research laboratory, (5) Human Computer Interface research laboratory, and (6) Cloud and Parallel Computing research laboratory.
