Fifth Annual Undergraduate Research Information Session

Engaging in research as an undergraduate is a significant high-impact educational experience for students. This experience, whether it occurs during the summer or the academic year, allows a student to develop academic depth in their chosen discipline, hone such skills as communication and problem solving; and connect with professors.

The Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center hosted its Fifth Annual Undergraduate Research Information Session on October18, 2021. Fourteen programs from across Texas and the United States presented information to more than 100 students about various summer and academic year opportunities to work alongside faculty on research projects reflective of their interests. All of the programs represented provided incentives to student participants including transportation to the program from their home, stipend, room & board, and prep courses for the GRE or other professional school examination.
