The Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) has been in existence at PVAMU throughout the years but it was reestablished by Dr. Thomas-Smith, Dr. Wright, and Dr. Byars in 2007.
The purpose of the WLC is to serve as an advocacy and action body dedicated to developing female students into successful professionals by providing social and cultural development of female students at PV. We are going to continue with this purpose and expand it to include faculty and staff as well. The new purpose statement for the WLC is to provide social and cultural develop of female students, faculty, and staff at Prairie View A&M University.
