ACTIVE SHOOTER: WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
In the wake of the recent tragedies involving gun violence that we have all witnessed, under standing and training on what to do if an active shooter is on your campus is vital. This one-hour training, provided by the University Police Department , will help you, and your department, prepare for any dangers on campus related to an active shooter. Our trained University Police Department Officers will walk you through what you can do to help keep your self safe in the event there is a threat to our campus.

GUARD UP: SELF DEFENSE
Have you ever been concerned for your personal safety? Have you ever walked to your car late one night and wondered what you would do if someone tried to attack you? A one hour training, provided by the University Police Department, will help you predict, identify and avoid potential threatening situations. This session will help at educating and empowering you to make decisions in threatening situations .

TITLE IX & CLERY
Would you know how to respond if a student reported a sexual assault to you? In this session, we will discuss your obligations as an employee and take a deeper dive into the University’ s response process for incidents of sexual violence. We will do interactive table top exercises to raise awareness and build employees’ confidence in receiving reports . We will also discuss the notifications you receive from PVAMU - whether a text , or email , or phone call - or all three? When will you receive them? When won’t you receive them? The Office of University Compliance will discuss how these notifications are designed to keep you, and our entire campus community safe.

FIRE SAFETY
This hands-on training guides you through how to properly use a fire extinguisher, and how to effectively put out a fire. This interactive training is sure to spark your interest in fire safety and keep you entertained for the full one hour session!

CALLING ALL SENIORS BUILDING COORDINATORS!
A senior building coordinator is a key contact for all building-related activities and serves as an important liaison between faculty & staff in their building and various campus service units. This one houwr traingin sessions will rovide an overview of the role of the Senior Building Coordinator and responsibilites - including Emergency Managment
