The Writing Center

The Writing Center provides well-trained peer tutors that assist students with writing assignments at any stage of the writing process. Tutors provide constructive feedback and writing support with any aspect of writing from brainstorming ideas, clarifying arguments, to developing revision strategies in friendly, stress-free one-on-one sessions. Since their motto is to improve the writer, not just the writing, they do not edit essays for students.

Students have access to face-to-face and virtual tutoring services via Zoom.

The Writing Center provides one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions via Zoom, which generally last thirty to forty-five minutes. In these Zoom tutoring sessions, tutors ask questions and provide suggestions to help writers consider new perspectives, clarify arguments, and develop strategies for revision.

Students also have access to Grammarly online writing assistance, which is an automated proofreading and plagiarism detection tool. To register for this account, students must use their student email address.
