PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (January 23, 2025) — Shield Lin, Ph.D., a professor of mechanical engineering at Prairie View A&M University’s College of Engineering, has been awarded a grant of nearly $20,000 from the CACI Technolgy for National Security. through NASA’s Space Center. The funding will support Lin’s efforts to advance the Trick Simulation Environment (Trick Core).

The project focuses on developing and maintaining the Trick Simulation Environment and creating unit tests for the Trick Java application framework. It will also provide ongoing support to simulation developers through Trick Core experts, who will assist in person, by phone, and via online chat. This support aims to help users troubleshoot issues and optimize their simulations, ensuring the system’s reliability and contributing to the success of simulation initiatives.
