PRAIRIE VIEW, TEXAS (November 23, 2021) The American Forest Foundation awarded Clarence Bunch, Ph.D., Program Leader in the Cooperative Extension Program of the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences, to enhance small farm access to USDA programs.   

The Texas Rural Communities, and Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers Program (SDVFR) project will enhance outreach, education, and training coordination within the targeted small farm community.    

Bunch will identify and engage socially-disadvantaged producer participants to improve participation in USDA programs.   The project will engage approximately 150 socially-disadvantaged farmers.
