It is an exciting time to be a lover and supporter of Black art and history in Houston! There are currently three phenomenal Black art exhibits on display! These exhibits include Kehinde Wiley’s “An Archaeology of Silence”, The Kinsey African American Art & History Collection, and “This Way” a collection of works by local Black Houstonians.

The Prairie View A&M University African American Studies program has coordinated a Black Art Crawl. Students will spend the day visiting each exhibit and learning from art and museum experts. Transportation, lunch, and admissions fees will all be covered. We have room for up to 50 students for this trip. Additionally, also looking for up to five faculty chaperones to attend.
