The National Science Foundation awarded $1.7M to Dr. Michael Gyamerah (PI) and Dr. Lealon Martin (Co-PI) with six Co-PIs from the College of Engineering to undertake research in “Transforming the Classroom into an Active Learning Environment to Improve Comprehension, Retention, and Graduation Rates” using a new teaching strategy the ” Formatively Assessed Student-Centered Instruction and Active Learning (FASCIAL) ” that would engage students in the teaching and learning process.
