Program Overview
The minor in Real estate is an 18-credit-hour program that will add to your versatility of skills and knowledge as well as give you the foundation you need to springboard into a career in real estate or dabble in real estate on the side. After completing the program, students will be eligible to sit for the Salesperson license exam[1] and will be well on their way to obtaining a Real Estate Broker license if they choose to pursue it. The minor program is also designed to expose students to a variety of industry-specific knowledge, internship opportunities and network with veteran real estate professionals.

Courses accepted for transfer must be from a college or university accredited by one of the regional accredited agencies for higher education. All students must meet with their department head prior to changing their major, adding/deleting a major, minor or an additional degree. Pick up the form to add a minor from the Registrar’s Office or fill out the “Change of Major, Addition/Deletion of Major, Addition/Deletion of Minor” form online on PV Place and submit it via DocuSign. Online submission of the form come with the benefit of being automatically routed to the proper authorities for approvals. However, if you fill out the paper form, then take the form to the department of Accounting, Finance, and MISY of the College of Business in the Ag & Bus building and obtain the Department head’s signature. Take the signed form back to the Office of the Registrar.
