PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (September 14, 2022) – On Wednesday, September 7, Prairie View A&M University held an appreciation dinner to recognize outstanding faculty and staff. Themed ‘Reach for Excellence’ and held in the Willie A. Tempton, Sr. Memorial Student Center Ballroom, the dinner honored awards recipients for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. The 2020 awards ceremony was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Prairie View A&M recognizes faculty and staff through awards for significant contributions in teaching, research and service – areas of importance to the University’s land-grant mission,” said University President Ruth J. Simmons. “The accomplishments of those selected are highly meritorious and worthy of recognition.”
Each year, the awards process begins with a nomination period, and the selection process is completed by committee reviews and recommendations.
