Thursday evening, President Ruth J. Simmons hosted an intimate reception for Atlanta area Prairie View A&M University alumni. During the event, alumni engaged in open dialogue with President Simmons and were provided the opportunity to ask questions concerning her plans for the university. While speaking with the attendees, Simmons requested recent graduate Bria Cooper ’17, an Atlanta native, share her Prairie View experience to showcase the type of graduates Prairie View produces. Cooper highlighted the internships she completed while she was enrolled and explained how they have shaped her future career plans.
