Prairie View A&M University welcomes celebrated politician, activist and lecturer, Dr. Clyde Rivers, Monday, November 10 at 1:00 pm in the Becton Auditorium. The Honorable Dr. Rivers is the acting Honorary Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi.  Dr. Rivers was appointed to this position by H.E. President Pierre Nkurunziza and also serves as Special Advisor to President Pierre Nkurunziza, President of the Republic of Burundi in Africa.

 

 

Dr. Rivers will focus his lecture on: 1.  Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms; 2.  His vision for effectively interacting with Africa and specifically the Republic of Burundi; and 3.  Exploring possible interactions between Prairie View A&M University and the Republic of Burundi.

Acting Ambassador and the Director of the North American Division of the Golden Rule International; Acting Co-Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Conference of Washington, D.C., USA; Acting World Peace Ambassador for Universal Peace Federation with Special Consultant status for economics for the United Nations; and Acting Representative to the United Nations – New York for the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative (IPI) and the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI).
