Dr. Marc Smith
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Jan. 12, 2024) – Prairie View A&M University Alumnus Dr. Marc Smith was officially appointed Superintendent of Schools in Fort Bend ISD this week by the district’s Board of Trustees. Fort Bend ISD is the sixth largest district in the state, with over 80,000 students.
“Thank you for your confidence, your faith and your trust,” Smith said. “I am committed to upholding the high standards you have set for me. I look forward to locking arms with you and moving forward.”
Smith’s first official day will be Jan. 22.
Smith earned his doctorate in administration and supervision at the University of Houston and his master’s degree at PVAMU, also in administration and supervision.
